A very useful way to see patients in the current climate. This is done via a professional platform called doxy.me and allows both Mr Fagan and the patient to have a video consultation and communicate (like skype, zoom or facetime) but also view MRI scans together as normal in a face to face consultation, but online via the secure web portal. Arrangements are made to book in to a virtual clinic with my practice manager and an invite is sent to book in to the virtual waiting room at the allotted time, before the online consultation takes place. The platform works accross all computers and phone devices with no new uploads to make. The device of course needs to be equipped with a camera. Patient feedback so far is very postive!All online or remote consultations take place in line with the current GMC guidance.
